The Amityville House is a building located in Long Island, New York.
History[]
The House was known as 112 Ocean Avenue was built in 1927 as a Dutch Colonial House. It is a 5 bedroom 3 bathroom house it was known for having the eye windows on the front of the house (which were later removed), In 1965 The DeFeo family purchased the house. The DeFeo family were murdered by Ronald DeFeo Jr on November 13th 1974, and was later convicted of six counts of 2nd degree murder. In 1975 the Lutz family purchased the house along with the DeFeo's furniture as part of a mortgage agreement that was all intact from the murders. The family fled the house after living in the house for 28 days, claiming they were terrified by paranormal activity. The house today is currently occupied and has been renovated and the eye windows were removed and the address was also changed.
